As you may well be aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May. We take data protection seriously and are committed to operating in an open and honest way. We’ve taken some important steps to make sure we’re GDPR compliant:
What is GDPR?
The GDPR places a duty on people or organisations that control or process data to take all reasonable steps to manage personal data responsibly and with care. It also provides a legal basis upon which individuals have control of their personal data and applies across the EU, and to any organisation outside the EU that offers goods or services to anyone within the EU.
Data Audit
We looked at the different types of data we collect and how and why this is processed. This was to ensure we have the right data controls in place.
Staff Training
All our team have been briefed on GDPR so that they understand our obligations relating to the handling of personal data.
Updated Privacy Policy
We have reviewed and updated our Privacy Policy which informs you about the types of data we process and why, how we look after your personal data and your privacy rights. You can view our Privacy Policy here.
