This month we’ve chosen to support a restoration project in Central Borneo, tasked with planting trees at the Tanjung Puting National Park. Rebuilding the native forest habitat is vital for the survival of endangered wildlife, in particular Orangutans. This reforestation project will support an increasing population of Orangutans, enabling them to travel in safety and have access to food.

One of the biggest threats to the survival of Orangutans is deforestation due to palm oil production. Palm oil is everywhere – in many processed foods, cosmetics, cleaning products and fuels. Its hard to avoid, as its in half of all supermarket products!

The project is run by ‘Friends of National Parks Foundation’, a local grassroots organisation that focuses on wildlife and habitat conservation.

We’re pleased to be able to support such an important cause, by making a small but important impact. Our target is to plant 100 trees. We will keep you updated on progress.
