Padded Protective Socks
A range of reusable, padded protective socks designed to offer protection for fibre cable connectors – an easy-to-use alternative to default plastic tubes.
The socks feature a full length zip for quick access, with a pulling loop sewn into the end for easy deployment. There is a releasable cable tie at the rear that can be tightened to sit behind a breakout gland if present, to keep the sock in position when being deployed. A padded interior lining offers some cushioning for the connectors within. The outer material is made from a tough polypropylene webbing with a good resistance to abrasion. An elasticated cord with hook allows the cable loom to be fastened neatly when coiled or on a reel.

Sock Type
Short
A straight sided design to suit staggered terminated cables. The internal usable length is 700mm with an internal diameter of 41mm*.
Tapered
A tapered design to suit an equal length terminated cable bundle. The internal usable length is 500mm, the fastening end diameter is 44mm to 29mm and the pulling end diameter is 60mm*.
Long
A straight sided design to suit staggered terminated cables. The internal usable length is 1410mm with an internal diameter of 41mm*.
*The internal diameter will be sufficient for some equal length tails with connectors side by side, depending on connector type.
