At Universal Networks, we believe in the power of small actions to create a big impact. This quarter, thanks to the ongoing support of our customers, we’ve been able to contribute towards three crucial projects that resonate deeply with us as both individuals and as a company. Here’s a closer look at the three projects we’ve chosen to support, in partnership with B1G1:
Planting Trees to Save Orangutans
The rainforests of Indonesia are home to some of the world’s most endangered species, including the magnificent orangutans of Borneo. However, deforestation driven by illegal logging and agricultural expansion has led to a devastating loss of habitat, putting these incredible creatures at risk. The numbers are alarming—over the past 16 years, the density of orangutans in Kalimantan has decreased by approximately 50%.
Our donation supports reforestation efforts in Gunung Palung National Park, helping to restore habitat for 3,000 orangutans while combating climate change by preserving these vital ecosystems.

Provide Access for Sick Dogs to a Veterinary Hospital
Street dogs in Nepal suffer from untreated wounds and illnesses, often without access to veterinary care. The work of HART in Nepal’s major cities, Pokhara and Bharatpur, is a beacon of hope for these vulnerable animals.
Our support helps fund the employment of veterinarians who provide much-needed medical care to these street dogs. By supporting this initiative, we’re helping to alleviate the pain and suffering of countless animals, giving them a chance at a healthier, happier life.
Help People with Learning Disabilities Gain Life Skills
Mental health and well-being are critical aspects of a fulfilling life, yet many people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health problems face significant challenges in accessing opportunities that enhance their quality of life. In the UK, the pressure on local authorities to provide adequate support is immense, and that’s where this project makes a difference.
Our support for this farm-based project helps individuals gain life skills, boost confidence, and improve mental well-being through activities like organic farming, animal care and cooking meals.
